Tasty food
The prawns are the best I’ve ever tasted and the salad and chips accompanied it really well…I was impressed by the surroundings and the ambience was amazing . The family loved the attention given to the food and the care taken with plating. The peri peri flavor is very strong and they suited our palates very well.

Outstanding cleanliness
We had the most amazing stay in the Masawara Urban Retreat from staff going the extra mile Patrick, Stanford,Adam, John the driver & all staff in the spa who took care of us and of course special mention to Lynette making sure that we had everything needed in our rooms, the cleanliness & food outstanding to the Owners who took time out of there busy day to greet us, apologises to other staff I haven’t mentioned but you All went above and beyond to ensure our special visit to Harare to meet family.
The timings of pickup at the airport was spot on nothing was too much trouble.
I cannot recommend the Masawara enough, I have travelled the world and stayed in the most luxurious hotels but I have never experienced quite as much as I have in this hotel
If you have any doubt about visiting Zimbabwe stay at the Masawara Urban Retreat this will give you piece of mind.
We are looking to get back out soon I will contact direct to the hotel to arrange another stay as booking.com is showing fully booked I highly recommend & thank you.

Well prepared food!
The food was well prepared - the place deserves its high ranking. I took my parents there and we had various dishes and share them. There is a level of diligence in their food prep which is consistently high and would recommend them to anyone

Fantastic service & amenities
Apart from the warm welcome which makes you feel at home instantly, Masawara Retreat is a definite top class retreat, offering premier service from luxury rooms, luxury spa and delectable cuisine!!!!.

Best Luxary boutique Retreat in Zimbabwe
We had a very special well traveled guest arrived in Zimbabwe from South Africa, who just checked into the Urban Retreat and his first words were "In JoBurg, we have the Saxon Boutique hotel, in Harare you have Masawara Retreat". The amenities and location is perfect. The restaurant and spa are incredible and the staff are helpful and efficient.
