The room was very clean and you can tell it has been kept up. Ive stayed in several motels in town and you can see they don't do this. Stayed here for Country Calling so given the weekend the price was extremely reasonable. They staff here is fabulous!!! Close to everything you could want and if not you can catch the bus. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at The Thunderbird Motel for the Oceans Calling Festival. It’s very close to the boardwalk, so we were able to easily and safely get there and make the walk down to the fest. Location is quiet and feels safe. The rooms are certainly very dated but seemed clean. The staff was super sweet and made things easy to navigate. If you’re looking for a budget friendly stay near the boardwalk, this place checks those boxes.

The customer service was great at the front desk. It took them a while to get the room key activated. Other than that the room was nice and clean. Not bad for a last minute check-in.

Great hotel. Clean and very close to the beach (2 minute walk) and boardwalk (about 5 mins) and many restaurants and activities. The parking is easy and also I appreciated we could leave the car in the lot the day we checked out so we could spend more time at beach.

The worst motel experience I have ever had. Rooms were filthy, walls were caving in (probably from mold) because there was no ventilation, it was noisy and loud, no one followed any of the rules and no one enforced them. If I could give zero stars I would! It was so awful we ended our trip early because we couldn’t bear to stay there any longer. Do yourself a favor and pick the Hilton next door. It’s more money, but would be well worth it!!
