BEAUTIFUL THAT WE NEVER HAPPENED
Once I booked, the booking owner on the phone just got my name and told me not to worry. Obviously, I was a little spooked because he didn’t ask for a credit card number. So, the day before I left, I called back and asked to confirm again that I was "sure everything is fine." So, let’s see what’s going to happen because this hotel is in Plain and it’s a small town of 3,500 people. I was thinking where we would stay if this hotel didn’t. We even arrived late in the evening, wondering if there was anything to eat.
But we had a pleasant surprise when we arrived. Once there were no problems with booking, our rooms were separated.
The property is large and beautiful. The rooms are also normal size, and the bathrooms and rooms are clean. Plus, there''s an extensive buffet in the restaurant every evening. Our friend’s lady was vegetarian, so there was plenty of good food for her to eat too. So our concerns are empty.
We stayed for two nights, the first night there was a German group, the second night there was an American group, and as far as we understand (we talked to the Americans) they were very pleased with the hotel.
The staff is very courteous and they don't have anything to do with it.
I recommend the printed spot to everyone with confidence.

Sagalassos lodge - No Spa No Restaurant
Excited to make a return visit to the lodge, we were very disappointed. Our family of 6 adults arrived to find we were the only guests. The staff were pleasant but could have been more attentive.
We were really looking forward to using the indoor pool, jacuzzi and spa area as it was a bit chilly for the beautiful outdoor pool. Indoor pool water was freezing. Jacuzzi not working; the place was cold and uninviting. No spa time for us then!
We were informed on arrival that the restaurant was closed due to Chef being unwell.
We’d driven a long way to a fairly remote area. The village was a few kilometres back down the hill, we didn’t want to get back in the car and drive again to find food.
Spent some time trying to figure out where we could go to eat. There was no input/suggestions from reception staff. We had the idea to call a restaurant and have them deliver. This worked out well. Then we discovered there was no stocked bar.
Wine was available, £28++ per bottle, but no beer!
We ate our take away in the empty restaurant and bought a few bottles of the expensive wine.
The next day we stocked up with beers for our group only to find that a coach load of guests had arrived, the restaurant was miraculously open serving a very expensive, mediocre buffet. Beer was now available!
We brought a couple of cans of beer to the restaurant after the other guests had left. The young staff member told us brusquely that it was forbidden to drink our own supplies.
Now they had stocked up, they expected us to drink their premium priced beer!
Our son had an uncomfortable conversation with staff, the manager was called and eventually told us it was okay to drink our own beer. We were left feeling bad.
Dead Insects lying around the reception area and rooms. Bird mess on the balconies and stools.
A general air of neglect.
Rooms were clean enough (dead flies aside), spacious, equipped with small fridge, kettle, tea & coffee sachets. Comfy beds.
This place has so much potential but there is an air of neglect and laziness.
The ancient city of Sagalassos is a wonderful site and the hotel is in the perfect location for visiting.
However, I would not recommend it nor would I stay here again.
