GREAT HOTEL; GREAT LOCATION

Hotel Annamalai International is a luxury 4-star hotel located in the heart of Pondicherry.
The hotel offers the best facilities and caters to both leisure and business travellers.
It is just a few kilometres from the clean beaches of Pondicherry.
It is well-connected to the bustling urban life of the union territory.
I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel with my aged mother and my spouse for two nights (20th & 24th Jan2025) recently.
All three of us are senior citizens and in particular mother was about 90 years old needing wheelchair services.
Right from our arrival (on both occasions) the hotel provided us with excellent services including complete assistance with their wheelchair services whenever required.
The hospitality shown by their reception, house keeping and room service staff were excellent on both the occasions.
The room allotted to us (on both occasions) was spacious and clean with a good view.
The toilets was very clean and comfortable.
The room was provided with sufficient quantity of tea/coffee ingredients in the coffee maker table, toiletries, linen etc
The room service was on time and the food served was very good.
Excellent ambience was present in the lobby, the staircase and the corridors.
An attractive transparent lift was also present in the hotel.
Though the hotel is a roadside establishment, the double layer sealed soundproof glass panels ensures noise free environment inside the room.
Overall, our stay in this was very comfortable, safe and memorable.
I will definitely recommend this hotel for a safe and memorable family stay.

Hotel Annamalai International Pondicherry

Stayed here for 2ights to look around Pondicherry and enroute Madurai-Kanyakumari. Hotel is centrally located and the facilities, just that when we arrived the hotel was undergoing some renovation at the drive pass at the entrance so i made it difficult for my mum to move around the hotel enteance and exit, otherwise all izz well

Good Hotel for a Short Stay

Decent hotel with all the basic amenities available.
Breakfast is good and the hotel is centrally located to nearby places in Pondicherry. Overall no complains. Veg Food Options for North Indians are very less but this is the issue in entire Pondicherry. Overall a decent stay for a short visit

Best in all Worst in one Hotel

The hotel is having superb architecture, excellent artistic furniture, good paintings and good staff.
The only problem is they don't serve food that we as hotel guests wish to eat. Masala dosa, Pongal etc that we love to eat in TN, is not available. We talked to the Operations Manager Mr. Rajkumar and he promised to ensure better F & B service.

Bad Service Standard of counter staff and poor hygiene

We had checked in this hotel for 5 nights on 2 different occasions in the same week in February 2024. We selected this hotel for our recent stay due to past experience in the previous years. However, we were totally disappointed with the service standards of the hotel and will never recommend anyone to choose this hotel. Security and counter staff were rude when we checked in after midnight and no one was at the reception. We had to wait for 15 mins before a staff attended to us. Do look out for the counter staff with the hood(head covering). He was rude.
On our second occasion during that week, we noticed stains on the bedsheets on both our beds and when we told the staff about it, the person told us it was a laundry stain. A ridiculous reply instead of getting to change the bedsheet, Totally unacceptable.
However we had a pleasant experience for the dining in for breakfast as the staff there was better.
In conclusion, this hotel should never be considered for your stay.
