A Hidden Gem near Palm Springs
I stayed in one of the beautifully decorated bungalows, and it truly felt like a private oasis. The interiors exude a chic, desert-inspired aesthetic, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. While the resort is smaller in scale, it doesn’t skimp on amenities. From a pool and fitness center to a putting green, pickleball court, and complimentary cruiser bikes, there’s plenty to keep guests entertained. If you like to be a VIP at the pool, the resort’s Citrus Suite, a luxurious poolside cabana, adds a VIP touch for those looking to elevate their stay.
Taking one of the complimentary bikes for a ride through the surrounding neighborhood was a highlight—quiet streets, fresh desert air, and scenic views made for a relaxing morning adventure.
For those who want easy access to Palm Springs’ vibrant downtown, it’s important to note that The Paloma Resort is about a 14-minute drive away. While not walkable, the serene neighborhood setting makes up for it, providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. There is also an onsite restaurant, Sol Y Sombra for those that don’t want to make the drive.
Although I didn’t personally experience the on-site spa, other guests raved about their treatments. It’s on my list for the next time I stay.

Uncomfortable in the room, love the property
On the plus side, the property is beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. The location is an easy drive between Indian Wells and Palm Springs made all our plans easy. I never heard other guests while in my room. The grounds are lovely and have lots of fun things to do. When I arrived the staff were in the middle of a difficult conversation with a guest (the police were called) and I thought they were doing their best to communicate with the guest.
As for the room, I was very uncomfortable. The easy fixes would be to change the carpeting. It was very stained, pulling up in places and had dark sticky spots. I wore slippers and skipped using my yoga mat. It was that bad. The bedding is without a blanket, just a sheet and coverlet. I did ask 3 different staff for a blanket but didn't get one. I did get a mattress cover from housekeeping. She was really trying to help. I opened it up in the room and it had a tissue and a capsule in it. The toughest issue (the deal breaker) were the high wall windows/skylights in both rooms. At 6am the entire place was in full daylight. This might not be the case in all the rooms. I took the pictures at night as they are easier to see.
