We have stayed at several Double Trees, and this one was just not up to par with those. The lamp shade and ottoman were both ripped. There were crumbs on the partition wall, a hard candy on the bathroom floor, and a couple of hairs in the sheets. To be fair- we checked in late after a very long flight, so we did not call and ask to be moved. It was a quick trip so we just dealt with it, so I cannot comment on how Customer Service would handle it. But I would not stay here again.

The stay was fine. The part that was most significant to take away was the bug that was found upon arrival. My friend said it was a stink bug and put a cup on top of it. When checking out, it was acknowledged as not a big deal.

We were SO pleased with everything about our stay at the Double Tree Hilton Tigard, from the friendly, smiling front-desk agent, the employee who insisted we accept the warm welcome cookies, the employee who happily directed us to our room as we got off the elevator, the smiling friendly housekeepers we passed in the hall, including ending our one-night stay with the ultimate breakfast .. which was even more enjoyable with the friendly assistance and wonderful conversation with employee "Lety!" We left feeling like family ... looking forward to returning.

The service at the hotel was amazing. The front desk staff and the women who maintained the breakfast area were so nice. Our only complaints were the shower, the pillows, and the restaurant/breakfast.
Our shower floor was very stained or dirty. The bottom was black. The pillows are down and went flat so easily. The breakfast was basically a continental breakfast and not worth an additional charge of $15.00. It was great that they have a bar and some bar food for folks that don't want to go out.
