last minute trip to Rome

my husband booked the accommodation and whilst I was expecting more of a hotel, this was more a b and b. Bed was comfortable and we did not lack anything. Breakfast was good. Gianluca was extremely helpful in his advice regarding sights and restaurants etc. My only complaint was that noise travelled through the walls from our neighbours' room (who were quite loud).

Perfect stay in Rome

We've recently spent a great week in Rome at Quod Libet. Host Gianluca was very friendly and helpful providing us with restaurant recommendations and tips for our visit. All the staff were very friendly. Clean and well maintained room with great breakfasts on the roof terrace. Great location for the Vatican and metro stop.
We can highly recommend Quod Libet for a stay in Rome.

A B and B at the price in a hotel

In this bed and breakfast, the price is too expensive (more than 2 times the price indicated in the rooms) and the services are not those of a hotel.
Breakfast is based on products bought at the nearest supermarket, premium quality and even coffee is not good. A loft for coffee country. The croissant in the morning has no taste is should be replaced by Italian cupcakes Plus if you stay a few days, breakfast will always be the same. Last point as the rooms are in an old apartment, they are equipped with platform to hide the pipes. So on the first day you're gonna bump into the steps. Finally, the fineness of the walls between the rooms does not guarantee any privacy.
Avoid if you have a motor handicap. Breakfast is on the terrace in a walk-up shed

Cordialement,
Connie & Gianluca – QuodLibet

Our stay at QuodLIbet exceeded our expectations and was an amazing experience! THANK YOU to Gianluca (Owner & Operator) for your gracious hospitality and attention to detail in all aspects of our stay!
From arrival to departure...the Owner and staff went above and beyond! Our arrival flight to Rome from the US was delayed over 5 hours...but Gianluca was able to adjust our airport transportation in real time to make sure our driver was there when we landed. Upon arrival at QuodLibet, he greeted us warmly and stayed after hours to get is checked in and situated.
Our room was clean and in good order, and the great staff here made sure it was tip-top each day. The daily rooftop terrace breakfasts are amazing...with MTO eggs, plates of meats & cheese, baskets of toasted bread, sweet croissants with spreads, coffee to order, juices and yogurts...a great way to start the day!
The location is perfect, with one-block access to the Metro and an easy 5-10 minute walk to the Vatican and other points of interest nearby. Markets and food options are plentiful in this neighborhood. It's a 2 minute walk to the nearest bar or restaurant....with options abounding 5-10 minutes away by foot.
Please note...the rooms of QuodLibet are located on the 4th floor of the building. The elevator worked perfectly during our stay and was very helpful during our arrival and departure while dealing with the luggage.

We're so thankful we found this listing!

I am going to preface this review with saying that I am not going to go into a lot of detail because I don't want to ruin any of the many wonderful surprises we experienced along the way.
First off we would 100% stay here again. With all of the places we have stayed over the years, Gianluca is without a doubt the best host we have ever had. He did everything possible to ensure our stay in Rome was perfect.
Everything we wanted to see in Rome was walkable from QuodLibet. The underground train is less than a block away if walking isn't your thing.
The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The terrace was beautiful.
We're so thankful we found this listing!
