A pleasant stay

Very elegant and extremely relaxing and quiet location for those who want to enjoy a completely relaxing holiday. We had the pleasure of tasting their (excellent) wines with Mr. Umberto who, with his professionalism and friendliness, made everything even more pleasant The only flaw was the breakfast, but we already knew what we would have. We will definitely be back

A perfect place to stay

This wonderful place it has been a great surprise.
Photos are not enough good to explain how wonderful it is : the view, the welcoming, the services, rooms etc
It's very clean, easy to access and peaceful.
We had a great moment and Federica and her father Francesco are amazing!
They are kind, available and professionals.
I highly recommend this place!

An idyll in Piedmont...

We spent a lovely 9 days here in August, 2018, myself with wife and adult daughter. Location is excellent and easily reached from either Milano or Genova, and both are realistic day trips away. The local town appears quite untouristified, so whilst you need your Italian, the locals still wish you a good holiday, and there are a few very nice unpretentious restaurants at good prices there as well as fresh produce and a great bakery. The beach is about a 40 minute drive.
The property itself is at 300m altitude, and set in a vineyard that produces some lovely wines which we purchased from the charming Francesco (owner) after tasting them (a lot). He puts a strong emphasis on sustainability, so the power is solar. The apartment was lovely and light, and large enough for the three of us. The views across the valley from the terrace or the pool are fantastic, and we spent a couple of evenings sitting in the garden amongst the vines. Idyllic, really.
We often take villa-style holidays, but this was the first one in this part of Italy, and certainly won't be the last. The only thing the girls were disappointed by was the shopping at Serrevalle (not so cheap or good), and you will have to get used to the bells (which I really liked: we treated them as a reminder that we were on holiday). Would strongly recommend.

great location on the Alto Monferrato

the Grillano castle is even more than a simple place to stay or to have a rest on your way over the Alto Monferrato Ovadese: is located in a very small and historical Borgo of Grillano and managed since beginning of last century by the family Torello which produces pretty good red and white wine from their own vine growing. room for sleeping are also available at any time upon booking in advance
