A Good Basic Small Town Hotel

I rather liked this small hotel in the fairly boring town of Nordhausen. A short walk from the station, it has few pretentions but provides simple clean rooms.
It has been modernised in recent years and has a lift serving the three floors. Rooms are basic but clean and functional at a reasonable price.
There is a small bar in reception with limited choice but the drinks they have are at a reasonable price.

Sufficient but clean

Typical city hotel, clean but worn. Nice staff. Lots of assembly workers and right on a main road, so very loud even with the windows closed.
Sufficient parking spaces behind the hotel.
Nothing can be said about breakfast, we didn't take advantage of it.
Price-performance for an overnight stay in a family room was just about acceptable.

Cheap... so don't expect too much

Our room was clean and the bedding was rather good. On top of that there is a large free parking behind the hotel. These are the good points... now... front desk was quite unprofessional, the double bed was very small, shades were more symbolic than efficient so it was impossible to have some darkness in the morning, and the location is average (if you want to be in town). So nothing awful but really nothing really appealing either. Just, just average.
