The campus hotel + great location
The location is excellent if you want to visit Berlin with its attraction but the same time to avoid the noise and bustle of the big city: the metro station is literally 5 minutes of walk (about 30 minutes to the city centre then) and you can also enjoy some very nice and very local beer gardens.

Good conference hotel with potential for improvement
My room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately, there are 3 prints here: Carpet floors are simply unhygienic and also provide a musty smell. The sheets had stains, and the floor in the shower had lime stains. Huer urgently needs improvement, this is not a 4-star standard!
Unfortunately, the check-in was anything but friendly, especially as there were communication problems here, as the employee did not have sufficient German knowledge. Furthermore, she could not provide information about the event the next day.
What is unfortunately an absolute NO GO is that I had to pick up the requested ironing board myself at the reception and take it away again. Where is the service idea here?
On the day of my check out, I heard a complaint, and a supervisor was requested. The complaint interview took place on the spot and all other people were able to participate, which was very unprofessional. Here one expects subtlety and sensitivity to do this far away from other guests.
Breakfast was very good, varied and fresh in a nice ambience. Milk alternatives were also offered.
The food at the conference was just as varied, delicious and there was a wide selection of snacks, food and drinks.
During the event it suddenly dripped through the ceiling. The water ingress became stronger and stronger, and the trash can was full within 5 minutes, which was placed there. The building engineer had to be called in. There was no clarification of the problem. After 2 hours of “drops” the event was over.

Fix your plumbing
Cons: (1) Room smelled like sewer when I initially entered and while venting helped, the smell comes back; (2) showers are really hard to take as water temperature fluctuates from super cold to super hot without touching anything
In conclusion: the rooms is fine and the staff is friendly. But, please, hire a plumbing company!
